It is very difficult to find a proffessional practitioner of threading, and almost impossible outside of large urban areas. The process itself is very straightforward. Cotton thread is gently and precisely twisted across the surface of the area of skin to be treated. This traps the hairs in the cotton loops. As the thread continues being twisted, it gently eases the hair out by the root. threading is less painful and more effective than ordinary tweezing, and is unlikely to cause damage to the skin.
This method can give a hair free surface for up to several weeks, when it then has to be repeated. After each treatment it is claimed that the hairs grow back lighter and finer, and eventually stop growing altogether.
